There will be ten homework assignments during the semester. Your homework will not be collected or graded. Instead, there will be a short, 15 minute quiz every Wednsday starting on August 30th. Each quiz will include 2 short problems chosen from your homework assignment. There will be 9 quizzes during the semester. I will count the best 7 of them towards your grade. Solutions to all homework problems assigned will be distributed in class each Monday before a Wednsday quiz. There will also be two in-class exams. Your grade will be based on the quizzes and exams in the following way:
Quizzes - 30% | Exam #1 - 35% | Exam #2 - 35% |
